Fulgence Niyonkuru is a social entrepreneur who has initiated and supported many youth-led organizations on the continent. He has participated in the creation of relevant youth-led organizations, start-ups and social enterprises in Africa. He founded African Youth Employment Initiatives-AYEI and led this organization to register its presence in many Africa countries. A graduate in Philosophy and Social sciences ( Spirtan University college, Ejisu-Ghana), he possess a master of arts degree in Social Administration from University for Development Studies in Ghana. He has a long-lived working experience in Non-Governmental Organizations both in Ghana where he lives and outside Africa, where he occupied positions of office director, International trainer, volunteer, International Marketing Officer. As an administrative consultant for companies and organizations, he has acquired valuable hands-on working experience in the realm of administration since 2012. His passion for entrepreneurship and development can be traced in his writings: He has published novels and academic research papers and articles where he advocates for youth employment in Africa as means to real economic development. AYEI was born out of his desire to create avenue for jobs creation and youth empowerment in rural Africa through establishment of demonstration farms incubating the emergence of agri-entrepreneurs who champion model and smart agriculture. Fulgence’s passion in farming and agriculture in general has made him participate in forums and fellowships in Ghana and outside Ghana. Together with his team of experts, through AYEI, he dreams to find solutions to current waves of youth employment by initiating projects that will empower the less advantaged young people, especially young women in rural Africa.

Imo Chinasa Ude
Imo Chinasa Ude is a Nigerian, holds a National Diploma and Bachelors degree in Public Administration and Management, also has a masters in Diplomacy and Strategic Studies. For her commitment to the goal of ending extreme poverty through Advocacy and campaign programmes, she was selected among other 20 committed Nigerian youth as ONE Campaign 2016 Nigerian Champion (see www.ONE.org), she is also A Yali member, an Ashoka 2016 scholar. A social media activist (www.facebook.com/shoutit), and a child protection expert. Her over 6 years working experience are focused around Public Relations/Communication, Social Mobilizations, community enlightenment. She volunteered to the African Union-ASEOWA during the Ebola outbreak in West Africa (both in Nigeria and Sierra Leone) as a humanitarian affairs/ psychosocial officer. And she Currently work as the project coordinator, Advocacy awareness and campaign in Justcare Development Initiative (www.justcareng.org) an NGO where with primary focus on empowering people living with HIV/ AIDS and Tuberculosis.

Francis Appiah is Finance Manager for African Youth Employment Initiatives (AYEI). Francis is a Research Assistant with full ability to lead and conduct research both on individual basis and for organisations. Currently Francis is having a master’s degree in Economics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Ghana. He has conducted several research activities for non-governmental Organizations as he is a professional user of Statistical Package for Social Sciences Software and STATA. A charted accountant (Under Training) Francis Appiah is an exceptional leader who inspirers many young people within the organization. He conducts capacity building sessions for both staff and beneficiaries in the areas of financial management, project design and management. Francis has represented the organization in international forums and conducted partnership negotiations with key partners and organization’s valued stakeholders.

Mrs. Stella Obanyi-Brobbey (PhD candidate) is the organization specialist and has served as project manager of AYEI since 2017. Mrs Stella has vast working experiences from various organizations and projects she has been involved into for the past 28 years. Her areas of expertise are in food security, agricultural research and management, natural resource management with an emphasis on natural resource, crop and livestock, value chains, soil fertility and water use efficiency in both high-potential and Arid and Semi-arid areas (ASAL) under irrigation. Her valuable extensive knowledge and experience in project management, capacity building and training of smallholder farmers in Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Ghana and Uganda…has been benefited AYEI. She worked as the Food security, Nutrition and Agronomy Expert for USAID funded Ghana Agriculture and Natural Resource Management (AgNRM) project working in Northern Ghana within Community Resource Management Areas (CREMA). She was the Integrated Soil Fertility Management advisor for IFDC in the USAID funded Agriculture Technology Transfer (ATT) Project in Ghana. Previously she worked with World Vision (Kenya) on studying agricultural production systems and extension methods in watershed areas and conservation of natural resources in three districts in semi-arid areas of Kenya and given recommendations for project planning.
Her area of work and study includes rehabilitation of degraded land resulting from climate change and human and wildlife conflicts among the pastoral communities, both in the high-potential areas and ASAL. She has conducted over 15 feasibility studies for agriculture development and development of profitable cropping systems and has engaged in participatory design of sustainable farming systems and agricultural development plans. She has extensive background in participatory methods for introduction and up scaling of new technologies, Training Needs Assessments (TNA), supervision, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation (M & E) of agriculture and natural resource projects under different agro-ecological zones and among different cultural groups.
She has worked with United Nations Office of Program Services (UNOPS) as a climate change resilience and livelihoods expert on a project addressing Climate Change Adaptation and Sustainable Use of Natural Resources in Rural Areas of Kenya using the Eco-Village Model with emphasis on watershed management for conservation and benefits for the communities.

Logistics and Human Resource manager
Abubakar Zachariah is a passionate social entrepreneur who has initiated a fast growing start-up training youth in mushroom production and processing. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting Education from the University of Cape Coast (Ghana). Zachariah started his volunteering work with AYEI in 2016 as the assistant Accountant. He also joined the project team as the logistics and human Resource Manager before he became the organization Accountant in 2019.
Zachariah has undertaken many professional training in Ghana and in Germany. He joined Hapaspace Hub, “No Business as Usual Hub” (an EU sponsored project) that trained and equipped young entrepreneurs into business setting up and management. He took part in British Council’s Youth Migration Program that equipped trainees with entrepreneurial skills to launch ventures and development initiatives to curve the rural-Urban migration in Africa. His interest in farming started when he was trained into mushroom production and processing, making ice-cream with fruits, civil engineering etc. Zealous to equip himself with more entrepreneurial skills, he was trained by King Solomon’s Foods Ent. with other young people into Bakery, brown sugar making, Yoghurt and other products. Other relevant training that sharpened his valuable skills includes the National Entrepreneurship Innovation Program, the flagship policy of the Ghana government to support start-ups and Small Businesses. His farming initiatives that he started early 2019 were spotted by GIZ and he was selected to attend a business incubation program organized by GIZ in Germany early 2020.

Dr. Shadrack Amponsah
Ing. Dr. SHADRACK KWADWO AMPONSAH holds PhD and MSc. degrees in Agricultural Machinery Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana, with specialization in Agricultural machinery design and fabrication, farm machinery evaluation and post-harvest engineering. He has gained vast experiences in several training workshops and conferences in the area of agricultural mechanization, value chain and Innovative Platform (IP), that he has attended. In 2011 he received practical training on animal traction and appropriate rural technology at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Uppsala, Sweden as a Linnaeus-Palme Exchange Programme student. He has followed other studies both in India and USA. He is currently serving as AYEI expert while working at Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), where he is tasked to develop sound, demand-driven technologies for reducing drudgery and postharvest losses in agricultural production. Through his research and studies he has specialized in the construction and management of raised recirculating aquaculture systems that makes fish culture possible in your home or on commercial scale, while introducing customers to novel processing techniques and sustainable sales and marketing links for their fish produce. Dr Amponsah belongs to professional bodies: Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE), Ghana Society of Agricultural Engineers (GSAE), Ghana Science Association (GSA) and Research Staff Association of Ghana (RSA) and has served as the National Vice Secretary of the Research Staff Association of Ghana (RSA) since October 2017.

Dr. Lawyer Kusi
Lawyer William Kusi was born in Kumasi (Ashanti Region) in the republic of Ghana in the year 1974. He had his tertiary education at University of Ghana where he studied Law and graduated with Magna Cum Laude in 1996. He undertook Law course at the same university in 2001 and after completing the LLB in 2003, he later furthered his education at the same university and got his BL in 2005, before he was admitted to Ghana Bar in 2006. In all these years, William Kusi was working for the Ghana Judicial Service from 1996 to 2006. Upon the completion of the Ghana Law School, William Kusi did his pupilage at Hayfron-Banjamin and Co, a renowned Law firm in Kumasi from 2005 to 2006. Through his involvement with legal affairs from his early age, he had accumulated enough skills and knowledge that he dreamt of establishing his own Law firm. Prior to this, he worked with a Law firm as a junior partner from 2006 to 2010 and in the same year, he founded Dominion Chambers, a Law firm he has been serving as the Chief Executive Officer and litigating Counsel in criminal, property, constitutional Law, family law and Land matters among others. This firm has been one of the renowned Law Firm in Kumasi with 10 supporting lawyers with a plethora of clients from all backgrounds.
Besides his devout love for Law, Lawyer Kusi is one of the God fearing lawyers who have been offering his services to the poor and less advantaged in the society. He has mentored so many law students and young lawyers and created employment for many. Lawyer Kusi William Esq is a member of Ghana Bar Association and Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship. Due to his tremendous contribution to the society, his good works have been recognized by a British Profession Institution that awarded him with an Honorary Doctorate Degree in 2018 in the United Kingdom.
Lawyer William Kusi came into contact with African Youth Employment Initiatives-AYEI right from the time of its inception (2016) where he massively supported its formation and encouraged its leaders who sought his counsel and advice as it was taking roots in the country and outside Ghana. He has been serving as a legal adviser to AYEI and remains one of the greatest supporters of the institution simply because of its noble ideals of creating employment for the youth in agriculture, an activity he is so much passionate about outside of law practicing
Very Rev. Francis B.C. Adjei
Very Reverend Francis B.C. Adjei was born in Brong Ahafo Region at Nkwabeng near Nkroranza in the year 1955. A seasoned entrepreneur from his tender age, after his secondary education, his burning desire remained to climb higher his education ladder in the areas of Accounting and Finance. He completed Kumasi Polytechnic (now Technical University) in 1973 and continued to Institute of Professional Studies up to 1975 for his professional certificates-Inter ICMA (1978), ACCA Part2 in 1980 he obtained his MBA- Finance in 2013.
He has worked for many institutions in Ghana since 1976 occupying Senior positions as Accountant (Building and Road Research Institute, Council for Scientific and Industrial Research- Internal Auditor, KAS Products Limited) , Regional Accountant –Internal Revenue Service . He is currently the Business Manager of Issifu Ali & Co. Kumasi Branch and also the Chief Executive Officer of Adjei Oduro Amfo and Associates.
Very Rev. Francis B.C Adjei is also a big time farmer. He owns Anidaso farms and he has won several Awards. In 2017, he was crowned the overall District Best Farmer, Atwima Nwabiagya Municipal.
He is a founding member of National Farmers and Fishermen’s Awards Winners Association of Ghana (NFAWAG) and became its First Deputy National Secretary from 1995-2005. Currently he is a member of the National Steering Committee of NFAWAG and the Regional Chairman of NFAWAG-Ashanti.
He is also an Executive Member of Ghana National Cocoa Farmers Association. He has been an active member of key Farmers Associations and Boards such as National Planning Committee member, 2017 National Farmer’s Day in Ashanti region, Ashanti Regional Land Commission where he represented Farmers and Fishermen from 2009-2014
Besides these various professional positions he occupies, this laborious man was called to serve as a Minister of the Gospel as far back as 2002 and offered himself to be set apart by the Methodist Church of Ghana. Having completed his theological training at Christian Service University in Kumasi, he proceeded to Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon in the year of 2013 and was ordained in the year 2007. He is now the Superintended Minister of the Methodist Church of Ghana.
Very Rev. F. B.C Adjei has been supporting African Youth Employment Initiatives in many ways from its inception where he participated massively to its creation as an outstanding youth-led Organization. He saw in this young organization the fulfillment of his long lived aspirations, to make farming an employer and revenue generator for the youth he has been helping and mentoring in many ways in Ghana. He is currently the financial advisor of the organization since 2016
Burundi Country Vice Coordinator
Salvator NTAKARUTIMANA, Burundian, is a Project management expert and a University Assistant Lecturer. He is currently working as an assistant Lecturer and a researcher at ECOLE NORMALE SUPERIEURE, a public university in Burundi for the last 8 years. Salvator is not just an auditorium professional; he has always been committed to give more to his society. He is the co-founder and vice-president of the African Youth Employment Initiatives (AYEI) Burundi, a panafrican youth-led organization. Besides, after his 9 years working with/and for humanitarian organizations as Project coordinator in community development department, he founded the KANTAS CONSULTING, a Consulting firm specialized in Research, Management of Organizations and Projects of which he is the managing director.
Burundi Country Coordinator
Mujojoma Diomede was born in Cankuzo (Eastern Burundi) in the year 1980. After his secondary education at Dutwe Minor Seminary (Ruyigi), he moved to Bujumbura where he had his Tertiary Education and graduated from Burundi University with a BA Degree in English Language. He Diomede is a gifted writer, a talent that he nurtured while still in Senior High School. He joined the Burundi Writers’ Association and published in France his first book, “Salvator” in 2009 by Publibook Editions, after which he partook into the International Book Fair in Paris, France, in March 2010. Since then, he has been participating in international writers’ forums such as Regional Panafricanism Movement in Kenya, August 2015, and in the International Book fair and Publishers, in Casablanca, Morocco, February 2017. He has authored numerous publications on Essays, novels, poetry and others.
Mujojoma developed interest in Environmental Protection very early while still in Secondary School. He founded and led Club Environment a cause he continued defending in his years at University. He later founded Association Ensemble Pour la Protection de l’Environnement ( ASEPE) in the year 2007, a program that he will link to agriculture in 2012, to champion an agri-environment agenda he pursued to date. His entrepreneurial spirit made him joint many professional associations where he significantly participated in the creation of many youth-led associations in Burundi and Outside Burundi. In 2016, he was called to join the team that founded AYEI and he has been representing the organization as a country representative where he has designed and implemented two funded projects helping young people launch agricultural initiatives in Kayanza (Burundi).
Rwanda Country Coordinator
Born in Rwanda, Emmanuel DUSHIMIMANA is a holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Science and Technology graduated in Computer Science. He has 4 years’ experience in information and technology, experienced in social media promotion and management. He became a Peace Architect after participating in Peace Revolution Project fellowships in Benin, Kenya and Thailand on peace building, conflicts resolution, mindfulness and stress management. Emmanuel is also an alumini of Young Africa Leaders Initiative (YALI), Country Coordinator of Peace Revolution and local coordinator for Students for liberty Emmanuel is interested in technology, youth leadership, peace building, and conflict resolution. Emmanuel Joined AYEI in 2017 as deputy country coordinator together. His contribution towards the establishment of the organization in Rwanda has been so great as he brought together a strong team that build AYEI Rwanda. After his appointment as the AYEI Country Coordinator in 2018, Emmanuel has immensely worked towards the realization of the organization ideals in Rwanda, leading a team of experts and entrepreneurs.

Burkina Faso Country Coordinator
Stanislas Kiswendsida Koudougou
Stanislas Kiswendsida Koudougou a seasoned social entrepreneur for the past 7 years. He has been involved in numerous youth training programs in the country and outside Burkina Faso. He is a graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and Management Science from Université de Koudougou. He is the director of External Relations at IWILI Organization, which he co-founded in 2015 where his contributions has been, trying to create space for young entrepreneurs’ empowerment in various ways. With IWILI, his main focus remains to build and maintain partnership with local and international entrepreneurs, leaders, companies, institutions and youth-led organizations. He has established his own start-up, STAN SMART FISH where he trains up other young people to venture into innovative fish farming in Burkina Faso. Stanislas is a member of Junior Chamber international in Burkina Faso where his much involved into youth training programs in leadership, personal development and academic excellence. Through the Lions Clubs he holds active membership; he managed and led social projects ranging from Sanitization of health Centers in riral Areas to reforestation campain in Ougadougou and its environs. During his internship programs in Ghana (Accra) he developed and implemented his own project, Brave Leaders , which aims to bring quality education to students in a local High School. Through his thirst to sharpening his entrepreneurial skills, he was enrolled in several international programs such as Ghana RLC fellowship, Young African Leadership initiatives ( Lagos campus), the 4th Amani Fellowship organized by World Peace Initiative in Thailand. Stanislas got fascinated by African Youth Employment Initiatives vision to empower the youth in Africa by assisting them start farming initiatives as means to create employment. He join the organization and he mobilized other young entrepreneurs in Burkina Faso to open its National Office where he was appointed as the Organization’s first Count.

Titulaire d’un master professionnel en Management de projet, Seydou Noba est un professeur d’éducation physique et sportive depuis 2011. Passionné de l’éducation, des questions de jeunes et Ayant pris part à de multiples formations sur le territoire national et international, Seydou Noba est Fondateur du collège Privé la Référence et est lui-même Expert formateur des formateurs endogènes DCTP/PREPP/APESS de la zone transfrontalière (Mali-Mauritanie, Burkina Faso, Niger, Togo, Tchad, Bénin) depuis 2017, Consultant/formateur de la chambre de commerce et d’industrie du Burkina Faso, Formateur en premiers secours à la croix rouge Burkinabè et chargé de formation en entrepreneuriat au projet IWILI depuis 2016. Leader influent, il est élu président du Conseil Régional de la Jeunesse du centre-Est depuis 2018 et est Président d’Initiatives pour un Développement Durable (IDD), association qu’il a fondé pour répondre aux besoins de la jeunesse de sa région. Il fut Conseiller juridique de la Jeune Chambre Internationale Koupéla Crystal en 2017 et a occupé le poste de Président Exécutif de la Jeune Chambre Internationale (JCI) Koupéla Crystal en 2016. Il est également Secrétaire Général du centre-Jeunesse Africaine pour la sécurité routière et l’intégration (CJA-SRI) depuis 2019. Seydou Noba a pour ambition de créer un environnement favorable à l’entrepreneuriat agricole des jeunes du Burkina Faso, raison pour laquelle il a co-fondé African Youth Employment Intiative (AYEI) Burkina Faso ou il est actuellement Vice représentant national dès 2019.

Angola Country Coordinator
Tomas Liviza is an experienced entrepreneur, a researcher and a business developer who has been working with a variety of companies and organizations in Angola and outside Angola for the past 10 years. Tomas has served as president for AYEI Angola for over 4 years where been representing the organization at all levels as the legal representative in the country. He greatly contributed to the AYEI registration and implementation in Angola where he led the team of other social entrepreneurs to participate in its creation where they have been leading, short- and long-term planning for the organization to achieve its designed goals. Liviza has worked with Euromonitor for over 3 years both on consulting and under syndicated Research. He is also an experienced in business development in the technology and travel industry while working for QuickBus. His background in market research, economics, demography & statistics and business analytics inform his approach. Tomas is currently providing services as an independent contractor in-country analyst for Euromonitor and Country manager for QuickBus and is always interested in covering emerging markets. He also worked for over two years in the oil & gas industry under supply chain management under shipping, transport and logistics. He is the country representative of Tianjin Able Group Ldt a Chinese shipping and Exports company since early 2020 where has been bringing in the country valuable investors in a many sectors of Angolan Economy.
Vice Country Coordinator
Ms. Irene Ochola
Ms. Irene Ochola is a statistician with over 11 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation and more than 6 years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. She is experienced working in fast-paced environments demanding strong leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ms. Ochola is highly skilled in tracking details, communicating deadlines and following up with internal and external partners to ensure on time completion within budgets and reporting. She is an expert in the design and implementation of M&E activities for Health and Social programs in areas of HIV/AIDs, malaria, RH/FP, MCH, Nutrition, WASH and OVCs. She is experienced in: leading teams and conducting capacity building activities; coordination of partners; report writing; developing proposals for funding; work plans and budgets. She currently serves as Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Advisor to John Snow Inc in Uganda and prior to that she served as Senior M&E Coordinator with CHAI where she provided technical leadership in planning and implementation of all program M&E activities. Previous to that, she worked as an M&E Manager with PACE an affiliate to Population Services International (PSI) in Uganda. Ms. Ochola liaises with government officials and various donors and she is familiar with donor requirements from USAID, CDC, Gates foundation, ELMA foundation, UNICEF, DFID and Civil Society Fund. She consistently receives positive feedback from managers, coworkers and implementing partners.
Uganda Country Coordinator
Michael Kisitu is a development social worker and Public Health scholar working with United Nations Migrations Agency – IOM, a UN Agency which focuses on enhancing capacity, knowledge and dialogue on migration, migration management, and migration policy making among relevant stakeholders.
Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Clarks International University, Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences from Ndejje University. Michael is a co-founder of AYEI Uganda, an organization which has contributed on fighting food insecurity in central region of Uganda through sensitizing young farmers on better farming practices and export market where they partner with different export companies to promote agriculture export trade.
A skilled entrepreneur, he holds memberships many professional associations such as Young African Leaders Initiative Group, Global Health Learning Center and the Human Resources managers Association of Uganda.
